Thank you so much for stopping by my Carrd—it genuinely means a lot! ♡I’ll start by saying that life keeps me pretty busy these days with full-time work and school (I also have a long commute to and from work), so replies might take a little time. If that is okay with you, your patience means so much! ♡Here are a few things!!01   I usually write in a multi-paragraph/novella style!02   My favorite themes are slice-of-life, fluff, and romance, but I’m open to exploring just about anything! I’m very interested in trying out some more adventure-centric RP and long-term story-building for character development.03   Even though I am used to writing, I don’t have a lot of roleplay experience. This is a newer hobby for me! I might need a little patience here and there. I’m always open to critique. If you don’t like where a certain plot is going, please let me know, and we can figure something out! Mocha Evermore was born into the Evermore clan, a line of Keeper of the Moon Miqo’te devoted to Menphina, the Lover, and caretakers of a sacred shrine dedicated to the goddess. From the moment Mocha entered the world, her life seemed destined to be brief. Frail and deathly ill, even the most skilled healers in Gridania could do little to alter the path that lay ahead for the fragile kit. With no remedies left to offer, her family turned to prayer, gathering at the shrine to place the ailing infant upon a bed of moon lilies. They prayed with unwavering devotion. Menphina herself heard their cries and granted the child a miracle. Mocha’s life was spared, and in return, she was gifted with a rare and sacred blessing—a celestial bond to the moon and stars. In that moment, the goddess spoke to the newborn’s soul: Mocha was to become a beacon of love and compassion, a guiding light for the broken and weary, carrying Menphina’s will into the world.When the infant opened her eyes, they shimmered with starlight, her skin adorned with constellations that seemed to dance as if painted by the night sky itself. She was no longer merely a child—she was a living symbol of Menphina’s boundless love. Her presence brought hope to those around her, her existence a testament to the goddess’s compassion. From that day forward, her mission was to heal, guide, and inspire all who crossed her path.From a young age, she dedicated herself to the family shrine, learning scripture, leading rituals, and cultivating moon lilies for ceremonies. Her world was filled with warmth—a devoted mother, a loving father, and a doting older brother.Ten summers past since Menphina bestowed the blessing, and Mocha’s celestial gifts earned her a place at the Studium in Sharlayan to study astrology. Though excited to explore her connection to the stars, she felt the heartache of leaving her family. Up until then, all she knew was Gridania and the Shroud, living a relatively sheltered life. Despite this, Mocha thrived in Sharlayan, honing her skills in astrology and learning to weave her powers into potent healing and protective spells. Only one year into her studies at the Studium, the Garlean Empire established Castrum Oriens and launched an assault on the Black Shroud. They devastated Mocha’s homeland, killing her family and many other Keepers. Mocha, in distant Sharlayan, was spared physically but became the sole survivor of her line. Overwhelmed with grief, she abandoned her studies and returned to the Shroud. Alone, orphaned, and haunted by loss, she found herself grappling with the profound sorrow that would linger, made heavier still by the Calamity shortly after.Though the shrine had fallen silent, Mocha continued to tend it as if her family still lived. Her dedication to Menphina and the mission she was bestowed with was what kept her going. To this day, she holds rituals and ceremonies in Menphina’s name, even when no one else attends. Isolated yet resilient, she taught herself to cultivate rare flora and, to sustain herself, began selling flowers in the markets of Gridania. She quickly gained an affection from the people of Gridania. In time, her sorrow found another outlet—Mocha took up singing in some taverns around Eorzea to make ends meet, her voice gaining her the title of the Starlight Maiden. Her voice is often described as ethereal and angelic, carrying an almost hypnotic quality. Yet, woven into its beauty is an unmistakable undercurrent of haunting melancholy and profound loss, leaving listeners captivated and moved.Though her life gained purpose through her music and her flowers, Mocha remains deeply unhealed, carrying an unprocessed grief that shadows her every step. She can often be seen speaking softly to someone unseen, lingering in conversation with the loved ones she has lost.
